With my poor guy recovering from his eye surgery, he has been feeling pretty down. A little known fact about him is that he is absolutely obsessed with Egg Nog. For Christmas, he even made me make him Egg Nog pudding (find the recipe for that here) So What better way to cheer him up than with some Egg Nog French Toast!!
I basically replaced the milk in my French toast batter with Egg Nog, but here is a rough recipe for it. (Just to let you know, I'm not the greatest with measurements as I like to just eyeball it when I'm cooking)
Egg Nog French Toast
1 cup of Egg Nog
1 Egg
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla extract
1 Teaspoon of ground cinnamon
4-6 slices of bread
Beat the Egg Nog and Egg together with a fork until well mixed. Add vanilla and cinnamon and stir it just a little bit more. Take a slice of bread and dip each side into the batter to coat. Place battered bread onto a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Brown both sides.
Enjoy with Butter and syrup! (or whatever you like to top French toast with)
